He began rapping in 2002, however, it wasn't until 2007 when he decided to use his talent as an outlet via his label Specialist Music Group. In early 2008 he released his first mixtape, The Iksperiment, and gained exposure performing at local venues. He immediately went back to work and began recording his next mixtape, Edo's Japanese Grafitti. During its production, for a series of 12 weeks, he also released a new freestyle every Tuesday. This provided a platform to further develop his skills while also building a fan base prior to the release of the mixtape.

The release of Edo's Japanese Graffiti in 2009 displayed Don Prahfit's undeniable growth from his thought-provoking lyrics to his style variations, and the I Wonder? music video for the mixtape proved he has a strong camera presence.

In 2010, the mini-mixtape The Revenge of Dominque Wilkins allowed him to provide music for his fans while working on his next project Future Hop, where he is collaborating with Goldenchyld of the Bangaz. This project can be expected in late 2010. Future Hop promises to push him out of his box and into new realms of music, once again providing his fans with an incredible musical experience.

As he puts it, Music has done nothing but good things for me which is what he hopes to convey to others, fans and critics alike, while also duplicating that feeling for them.
