Ben Grimm started his career along side Pete Game in ill-fated rap and hip hop groups in the late 90's and early 2000's.
Both Grimm, Pete Game and fellow Eastside resident Clutch struck development deals with a San Jose music and entertainment company that worked with San Jose artist Prozack Turner (of the indie hip hop group Foreign Legion) and Money Tree Entertainment artist/producer Jae Rilla, before all three went there separate ways.
Ben Grimm went on to work with several local independent music artists and studios before finally losing interest in music by 2006.
Shortly after, Grimmie began to collaborate with the multi-faceted Nick Bogart. This work brought a new desire not only to pursue rapping again, but to change and experiment as an artist.
Grimmie and SMG first came together in late 2008 when Pete Game asked Grimm to feature on the track Bounce N Smoke, featured on Pete Game's After Shock LP.
Grimmie then began to work with SMG producer Ttian on what was to be Titan's solo effort. However the partnership lead to the 'Electro-Folk-Funk' duo Butterfly Fifty-Five, which is being executive produced by SMG's own Nasty Knock.
Ben Grimm is now part of the ensemble group, "The Residentz", lead by SMG artist and long time collaborator, Pete Game.
